About the studio

A reading desk opened on Ramintra Road in 2016.

The official registered business name is Focus Anchor Analytics. The business was established in 2016, in a single room that still holds the chart table.

A short history

Nalin Chaiyawan spent nine years writing media plans for Bangkok retail and hospitality accounts. The review at the end of a season kept collapsing into one percentage on a slide, usually read aloud by whoever held the laptop. In 2016 she registered Focus Anchor Analytics and opened the room on Ramintra Road so a season could be drawn at full size before anyone argued about the next budget.

In 2018 Arthit Sombat joined as chart draughtsman. He had trained in technical illustration and preferred a sheet that could be marked in pencil to a file that changed under the cursor. That year the studio began binding the readings in cloth covers, because loose sheets were leaving the room in the wrong order.

By 2021 several clients were returning every season, and the seasonal desk was written down as four readings with the dates agreed in advance. In 2024 the chart sitting was added for teams who wanted to stand at the table while the ink went down, rather than wait a fortnight for a folder.

The two people who sign the work

Nalin Chaiyawan

Principal reader. She agrees the comparison period, writes the notes beside each figure, and chairs the presentation. She still refuses a calendar week that hides a closure.

Chart draughtsman. He draws the sheets, keeps the scale honest across a season, and will split a question into two charts rather than crowd two units onto one axis.

How the studio treats a client’s figures

The numbers stay yours. We do not log into advertising or shop accounts, and we do not replace a missing cell with an estimate. A guess, if you insist on seeing it, is drawn in pencil on a tissue overlay so it cannot be mistaken for the record.

Comparison rules are written down before ink. If we disagree with the week you first suggested, the note says why, and drawing waits. Clients in Min Buri, Bang Khen, Lat Phrao, and hotels along the river all work to different open days. The sheet names which calendar is in force.

Tuesday to Saturday the door is open from 10:00 to 18:00. Sunday and Monday are for drawing, which is why a presentation is rarely booked on those mornings. Songkran and the year-end gift weeks fill the table first. If your meeting sits inside ten working days, we will tell you that the reading cannot be opened.
